Hanging, Tagging and Preparing Your Items for Sale |

PLEASE DO NOT USE STRAIGHT PINS!!!!!!!
Items that are hung and prepared properly, and in great condition will sell themselves and just WALK OFF THE RACKS!
Print your tags on 60 lb or heavier cardstock paper. Do NOT photocopy tags, and please make sure the bar code is clear and readable.
PRICING-We recommend you start with about 30% of the original retail price of the item, then adjust according to the condition of the item. If it is brand new with tags, price it a little higher, of course. If it has been well but gently used and in great condition, 30% is a great deal for seller and shopper. | |

CLOTHING:
All items (even baby items) should be hung on wire hangers with the hanger hook facing LEFT. Use large or medium safety pins to secure shirts to hangers if necessary to prevent sliding off.
Pants/shorts/skirts should be PINNED on the upper part of the hanger with pins close to the hook so they stay displayed. (Otherwise they bunch up and people won’t buy them.)
CLOTHING SETS – pin the bottom BEHIND, not under the top.
BE SURE THE PINS GO THROUGH THE HANGER AND NOT JUST THE ITEM TO AVOID DAMAGING THE CLOTHING.
SHOES - must be securely attached with safety pins or string so pairs stay together or use a Ziploc with tag taped to OUTSIDE of bag.
Safety pin ALL matching accessories to the outfit. BUTTON ALL BUTTONS, SNAP ALL SNAPS, TIE ALL BOWS, ZIP ALL ZIPPERS! The nicer your items look, the better they sell.
SAFETY PIN your bar code tag to the upper right hand corner.
**If you have multiples of the same items, i.e. baby onesies or sleepers, bibs, socks, etc., package them according to size in a large Ziploc bag and affix the bar code tag to the bag. SAFETY PIN the bag to a wire hanger. |

TOYS:
Securely tape your bar code tag to a clearly visible spot on the item. In addition, please label the toy with an addition piece of masking tape with your consignor number in BLACK FELT PEN, this will help in case a tag comes off or gets lost. DO NOT TAPE OVER BAR CODE.
All toys must be CLEAN, in working order, and have batteries if they require them. Please ensure ALL pieces are included and attached in a Ziploc bag. | |
